Happy Wednesday! On the blog today, I am happy to introduce you to Shea and Wes. They were recently married at The Ivy Venue in Flowood, Mississippi, and I had a blast working with them. The bride was beaming with excitement about marrying the man of her dreams, and the groom couldn’t take his eyes off her. We are so thankful the weather cooperated that day, and the rain held off long enough for us to take some beautiful, natural light photos outside of the wedding venue.

During their first look, Shea gave Wes a gift – a gold cross and chain made from his grandparents’ jewelry. Wes also gave his beautiful bride a gift – a necklace that was made from her parents’ engagements rings. Shea wore this on her wedding day. So precious and thoughtful. 🙂 Aren’t they just the cutest thing?! When father’s look at their baby girl’s this way, you know the love in strong between them. Shea’s brother couldn’t make it to her wedding since he was playing in MSU’s regional baseball tournament but he was able to Skype in to see his beautiful sis on her wedding day. What an emotional moment! Shea’s bridal party was a joy to work with! The bride had a ring on her bouquet that was originally the groom’s grandmother’s ring. She handed it down to his mom, and then she gave it to her future daughter-in-law, Shea. Taking time to do bride & groom portraits is my favorite. Its a moment they can escape the guests and have a moment to themselves.

Cakes by Iris never disappoints. Just beautiful, and tasty! After their sparkler-filled exit, the bride and groom departed in an Excalibur limousine, waving to their family, friends, and loved ones.
