Chelsea and Brandon’s love story is so special that I want to share it with you. They both grew up 20 minutes down the road from each other. They met each other briefly but never anything more. One night Chelsea went to listen to a band play with some friends, and little did she know, Brandon was also there. They ended up chatting with each other that night. (Who really made the first move to talk…? We’ll never know. 😉 ) Two days later, they were on a date to the movies.
When Brandon knew that they were inseparable, he used her best friend, Jana, to create a special proposal. Jana showed up to Chelsea’s work, and she presented her with a card from Brandon. In the card, Brandon told Chelsea how much he loved her and how much she meant to him. The card also said that she deserved to have a girl’s day. He included a gift card for manicures and pedicures for Chelsea and Jana.
After the mani/pedi fun, Jana gave Chelsea a second card. The next card again explained how much Brandon loved Chelsea. He also included some money and a note that instructed Chelsea and Jana to go to the Great American Cookie Company to get a snack. (Cookies are Chelsea’s favorite!)
After they finished their cookies, Jana had one last envelope for Chelsea. Inside the third card, Brandon again told Chelsea how much he loved her. It also included money and a note that instructed Chelsea to go shopping for a new outfit and for her to go back to her apartment to put the new outfit on. Brandon also wrote in the card that Jana and Chelsea were going on a little road trip. Well, this “road trip” consisted of a trip to Chelsea’s hometown where they went to her parents’ house.
Upon their arrival, Chelsea was led by rose petals out to the backyard. There she found Brandon standing inside pink candles in the shape of a heart. Brandon proceeded to tell Chelsea that “he really enjoyed annoying her and that he would like to annoy her for the rest of his life.” He then got down on one knee and asked if she would marry him. Tears and a very excited “YES!” followed. Both Chelsea and Brandon’s families were there to celebrate the proposal and engagement. What a perfect day!
Chelsea and Brandon recently exchanged vows to one another at First Baptist Church of Forest in Forest, Mississippi, with a beautiful reception to follow at B. Gatewood Studio. OAK planned and coordinated a perfect wedding day complete with gorgeous floral arrangements and specialized details.

The father/daughter first look…always a *happy* tear jerker!
When the bride & groom opt to do a first look prior to the wedding ceremony, this always provides quality time to spend together as their last moments as an ‘engaged’ couple before tying the knot!
